Eco-Friendly Ganesh Murti project - Award received from B.M.C.

ECO-FRIENDLY GANESH MURTI PROJECT
The Eco-Friendly Ganesh Murti Project consists of making of Lord Ganesha idols from paper pulp. This paper pulp is made from shredded paper of ‘Ramanam’ notebooks used by the devotees, who write ‘Ramanam’ and deposit these notebooks at Upasana centers or directly with Aniruddha’s Universal Bank of Ramanam (AUBR).
These Idols disintegrate easily upon submersion in water, as compared to idols made from Plaster of Paris, which takes significantly longer to disintegrate. A notable aspect is that, the paints used are non toxic, thus contributing significantly to the control over pollution of the environment.
We are pleased to inform that the ‘Shree Ganesh Gaurav Puraskar’ by Bombay Municipal Corporation for the year 2010, in the category ‘Best Sculptor’, has been awarded to Shree Aniruddha Aadesh Pathak, for its Idol placed with Pragati Mitra Mandal, Mhatrewadi, Borivali(W), which consists of a Certificate, A Memento And Cheque of Rs. 10000.

श्री साईप्रदत्त अभ्युदय पर्व

श्री साई प्रदत्त अभ्युदय पर्व म्हणजे श्रद्धावानांसाठी प्रकटलेली साक्षात गंगा आहे. या गंगेत मी मारलेली डुबकी माझ्या भक्तीचा खजिना समृद्ध करते व माझ्या पापांचा नाशही करते. येणाऱया तिसऱ्या महायुद्धासारख्या भीषण काळामध्ये ही गंगा माझ्यासाठी आई बनून रक्षण करणारच. कारण या गंगेचे उगम आणि मुखही श्री अनिरुद्ध गुरूक्षेत्रम आहे, तर आदिमाता अनसूया गंगोत्री आहे.
सदगुरू श्री अनिरुद्धांनी माझा प्रपंच व परमार्थ साधून देण्यासाठी मला बहाल केलेली ही सुवर्णसंधी आहे. १०० वर्षापूर्वी म्हणजे १९०८ च्या पौष पौर्णिमेस म्हणजेच शाकंभरी पौर्णिमेस ह्या पर्वाची सुरुवात झाली, व १९१० च्या विजया दशमीस ह्या पर्वाची सांगता झाली होती. सदगुरू श्री अनिरुद्धांच्या कृपाशिर्वादामुळे त्यांनी आजही माझ्या अभ्युदयासाठी हा सुवर्णकाळ पुन्हा माझ्या जीवनात आणला आहे. ह्या श्री साई प्रदत्त अभ्युदय पर्वाची सांगता अनिरुद्ध पौर्णिमा २०१० रोजी म्हणजेच २१ नोव्हेंबर २०१० रोजी होणार आहे. सदगुरू श्री अनिरुद्धांनी आपला अक्षय पारमार्थिक खजिना श्रद्धावानांसाठी सताड उघडा टाकला आहे व तो लुटून नेण्याची विशेष संधी ह्या पर्व काळात त्यांनी श्रद्धावानांना दिली आहे.
ह्या खजिन्याची प्राप्ती व्हावी म्हणून मला ह्या पर्व काळात तीन प्रमुख गोष्टी करायच्या आहेत त्या म्हणजे --

१) सदगुरू दत्तात्रेयांचे स्मरण व खालील श्लोकाचे पठण -
"अनसूयोत्रिसंभूतो दत्तात्रेयो दिगंबर:
स्मर्तुगामी स्वभक्तानाम उद्धार्ता भवसंकटात"

भावार्थ : अनसूया (असूयाविरहित), अत्रिंपासून संभवलेला, दिशा हेच वस्त्र असणारा, स्मरणासवेच प्रकट होणारा, भवसंकटातून आपल्या भक्तांचा उद्धार करणारा असा हा दत्तात्रेय आहे.

२) सदगुरू श्री अनिरुद्धांचे स्मरण व श्री अनिरुद्ध गायत्री मंत्राचे पठण -
"ॐ मन: प्राण: प्रज्ञा, ॐ ततगुरु दत्तस्य,
उष्णं स्निग्धम गुरो: तेजो धीमही रामे चित्तलया भवन्तु नः
ओजः अनिरुद्ध राम: प्रचोदयात"

भावार्थ : मन प्राण प्रज्ञा ह्या तीन व्याहृति आहेत. त्या गुरूदत्तांच्या उष्ण, स्निग्ध, व गुरुतेजाचे आम्ही ध्यान करतो. आमच्या चित्ताचा लय श्रीराम चरणी होवो, त्यासाठी श्री अनिरुद्धराम आमच्या ओजालाप्रबळ प्रेरणा देवो.

३) सदगुरू श्री अनिरुद्धांच्या पणजी द्वारकामाई पाध्ये यांनी विरचित केलेले आद्यकाव्य म्हणजेच खालील अभंग व त्याचे पठण -
"ज्याने धरिले हे पाय, आणि ठेविला विश्वास
त्यासी कधी ना अपाय, सदा सुखाचा सहवास
हे पाय पुरातन फार, केवळ हाची हो आधार
साई साई म्हणता धार, धीर गंगेची अपार
हे पाय कैसे तुमचे, हे तर आमुच्या सत्तेचे
ह्यांना नाही सोडणार, तू मरे- मरे- तो मार
जय जय राम कृष्ण हरी, साई झालासी त्रिपुरारी
तू येसी आमुच्या दारी, तू केवळ अनिरुद्ध हारी "

भावार्थ : ज्याने अनिरुद्धांचे पाय घट्ट धरून ठेवले आणि त्या 'पायाखाली' दृढ विश्वास ठेवला, त्याला कधीही कोणताही अपाय होणारच नाही,त्याला सदैव सुखाचा सहवास लाभणारच.जसा पपेरवेट खाली ठेवलेला कागद वारयाने उडून जात नाही, तसाच ह्याच्या पायाखाली जो विश्वास ठेवतो, त्याचा विश्वास कधीच उडत नाही, अढळ राहतो.

अनिरुद्ध त्रिपुरारी त्रिविक्रम बनून कश्यासाठी आला आहे त्याचे मर्म हा अभंग समजावून सांगतो. म्हणूनच हा अभंग आमचे जीवन 'अभंग' बनविणारा आहे.

DTC gets Cabinet nod; basic exemption limit proposed at Rs 2 lakh

NEW DELHI: The Union Cabinet on Thursday approved a new set of direct tax rules that proposes to raise income tax exemption limit from 1.6 lakh to 2 lakh, leaving more money in the hands of individuals, and a lower tax rate for companies.

The much-awaited Direct Taxes Code, or DTC, Bill, which seeks to replace the nearly 50-year-old income tax law, is likely to be introduced in Parliament on Monday and may then be referred to a select committee of members of both houses of Parliament.

The basic exemption limit is proposed to be raised to 2 lakh from the current 1.6 lakh and corporate tax rate for both domestic and foreign companies proposed is at 30%, finance minister Pranab Mukherjee said after the meeting of the Union Cabinet.

Senior citizens and women will enjoy a higher exemption of up to 2.5 lakh. There will be no surcharge or cess on companies, thereby bringing the corporate tax rate to 30% from present 34%.

The new code proposes three income tax slabs—income of up to 2-5 lakh will face 10%, 5-10 lakh will attract 20% and income over 10 lakh will face tax at the rate of 30%. The housing loan exemption of 1.5 lakh would also be available to individual taxpayers on the interest component.

“The whole objective is that a plethora of exemptions will be limited. Income tax slabs will be three. Rate of taxes will be taken in the schedule so that they need not be changed every year,” Mr Mukherjee said.

“Once the tax rates are part of the code itself, it would provide guidance and stability as to short to mid-term tax rates vis-a-vis current situation wherein tax rates could undergo a change on a year-on-year basis,” said Vikas Vasal, executive director, KPMG.

The new changes in the tax rates, expected to come into effect from April 1, 2011, could lead to some loss in revenue and raise the government’s deficit.

However, the government proposes to raise the minimum alternate tax (MAT) on book profits to 20% from current 18%. The move will be a big blow for Reliance and a host of IT and infrastructure companies that pay MAT.

Ficci general secretary Amit Mitra welcomed the proposal. “We are assuming that this rate of tax is a proposed cap and corporate tax would not exceed 30%. Any cess or surcharge should be subsumed within this 30%,” he said. He further added that at this rate, the Indian corporate tax is moving closer to the rate prevailing in Asean countries, which is again a positive direction for direct taxes.

However, some industry honchos were not happy as they expected much lower rates if exemptions are being withdrawn. Jindal Stainless vice-chairman & MD Ratan Jindal said the proposed rate of 30% is good, but the industry was looking for lower rates of around 25%.

“Hopefully the government will consider bringing down corporate tax at about 20-25 % in the coming years. If more money is put in the hands of the industry, it can be ploughed back for further investment and expansion purposes.”

कागदापासून गणपती मूर्ती : अनिरुद्ध उपासना FOUNDATION संस्थेच्या या उपक्रमाची माहिती
"तरुण भारत" गोवा या वृत्तपत्रात १ ऑगस्ट २०१० रोजी आली आहे.

AADM or Aniruddha’s Academy of Disaster Management the leading non-government organization in Maharashtra for disaster management has announced the launch of Monsoon Project 2010.

Under this project the AADM is working in co-ordination with various government agencies like Brihan-Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Mumbai Police and Mumbai Fire Brigade in Mumbai and with the local administration and police authorities throughout Maharashtra and in some parts of India.

Under this project there are various teams that are formed to carry out various disaster and emergency tasks. Senior DMVs (Disaster Management Volunteers) at local level would handle control, communication and co-ordination for the project. There would be Rescue Teams, which would primarily comprise of well trained gent DMVs. The primary responsibility of these Rescue Teams would be of rescue work in case of any emergencies like flood, water logging, landslides, mudslides, storms, etc.

AADM control rooms at various levels. A local Sub-Control Room has been setup in most of areas covered by AADM, which are connected to a larger, Main Control Room which in turn would be connected to AADM Head Quarters. These Control Rooms along with AADM Head Quarters would be functional 24 x 7 throughout the 4 months of monsoon starting from June 2010 till end of September 2010.

During the same period AADM will also help the local administration and police authorities in conducting and managing the biggest religious festival of Maharashtra i.e. Ganpati Utsav lasting over almost a fortnight.

Having huge experience from similar preparatory exercises in past and taking a cue from actually participation of AADM in disasters and associated relief works (e.g. land and mud slides in Konkan in monsoon 2009, rescue operations during landslide at Saki Naka, 26th July 2005 floods, Mandharadevi Utsav, etc. this year also AADM through its Monsoon Project 2010 would give its 108% efforts for managing and surmounting difficulties posed by Monsoon 2010.

As mentioned earlier, AADM will be functional 24 x 7, to support and to assist the local authorities and public to take control various disaster and emergency situations so in case of any disaster / emergency situations citizens should feel free to contact
