The day of Tukaram Bij is know as the day of his demise (Vaikunth Gaman). It is beleaved that the tree called Nandurgi shakes exactly as 12 am on this day. The 'Palakhi‘ travels from the Vitthal Mandir to Tukaram Mandir and back. Many people have taken part in it from many years. The temple here was constructed by his younger son Narayanbaba in 1723.
